The Milam Settlers Day Org. will again host its ever-popular Quilt Show in
the fellowship hall at Bethany Baptist Church. Taking place on Nov. 21-22,
from 10:00-3:00, the show will offer a large variety of quilts for visitors
to view. For only $1.00, you can take a chance on being the winner of the
2014 quilt, Autumn Splendor. Raffle tickets will be available at the Quilt
Show and at the Milam Booth at El Camino Park. If you would like to display

Fundraising for the 22nd. Annual Milam Settlers Day has begun with two contestants competing for the title of "Milam's Little Pioneer." One will be crowned during festivities on Saturday, Nov. 22.
Contestants are Aris Buck and Kylie Hardin.
Aris is the year-old daughter of Kacey and Dustin Buck and the sister of Brisyn Buck. She likes playing in the dirt with her brother and playing with ninja turtles. She doesn't care for baby dolls but loves her bows. Her favorite food is Velveeta Shells. Her best friends are her brother, Brisyn, and Hadilyn Hanzel. Aris is the granddaughter of Christy Butler and Chris Newman. Great-grandparents are Donald Newman, Joyce Eaves, Franklin Eaves, and Mary and Ed Brock.
Kylie Marie Hardin is the two year old daughter of Shelby Hardin and the granddaughter of Liz and Bill Hardin of Hemphill. Kylie was born in Chicago, IL, in August 2012. She enjoys singing, spending time outside, and playing with her friends. Her favorite foods are pizza, "pbj", and mac and cheese. Kylie is an at-home head start student.
Please support your candidate by participating in the various fundraiser events that each one will have planned. The contestants and their families are also selling raffle tickets for the grand prize Hunter's Package: a Savage 30-06 Rifle, a crossbow, game camera, and Yeti cooler and the 2nd. prize Apple iPad. Prizes will be given away on Saturday, Nov. 22, at the close of Milam Settlers Day Weekend.
